Who is it Suitable For?
- Adults and older people requiring calcium and vitamin D supplementation.

Ingredients / Active Ingredients
Each chewable tablet contains:
- Calcium carbonate 1.5 g (providing 600 mg elemental calcium)
- Colecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 400 IU (10 micrograms)
Other ingredients: sucrose, povidone, isomalt, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycollate, flavouring agents.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
- Adults and elderly: 2 tablets daily, ideally one in the morning and one in the evening.
- Children (under 12 years): Not recommended.
- Administration: Chew or suck tablets—do not swallow whole.
- Duration of use: As directed by your doctor or pharmacist, often long-term in osteoporosis management.
Possible Side Effects
Common: Constipation, bloating, nausea, or abdominal discomfort.
Uncommon/Rare: Rash, itching, increased calcium levels in blood or urine (hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria).
Seek medical advice if you notice persistent stomach upset, extreme thirst, muscle weakness, or irregular heartbeat.
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not take if allergic to calcium carbonate, vitamin D3, or other ingredients.
- Avoid if you have hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, severe kidney problems, kidney stones, or prolonged immobility with high calcium levels.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Can be used under medical supervision. Do not exceed recommended daily amounts.
- Driving/machinery: No expected effects.
Interactions with Other Medicines
- May interact with thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides (e.g. digoxin), tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates, levothyroxine, and iron or zinc supplements.
- Leave a gap (usually 2–4 hours) between taking Adcal-D3 and these medicines.

- If you develop symptoms of high calcium (e.g. nausea, confusion, weakness).
- If you are on long-term treatment and need monitoring of calcium levels.
- If you have renal impairment or a history of kidney stones.
