Description
Who is it Suitable For?
- Suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
- Intended for the symptomatic relief of muscular pain, soft tissue injuries (e.g. sprains, strains), backache, and rheumatic or non-serious arthritic pain.
- Not suitable for children under 12 years.
Ingredients / Active Ingredients
- Active substance: Ibuprofen 5% w/w.
- Other ingredients: Isopropyl alcohol, diethylamine, propylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose, fragrance, purified water.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
Dosage by age group:
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years: Apply 2 to 10 sprays onto the affected area up to four times daily.
How often to take it:
- Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
- Do not use more than 4 applications in 24 hours.
How to administer:
- Hold the spray about 5cm from the skin, apply directly to the painful area, and massage gently into the skin if required.
- Wash hands after application unless treating them directly.
- For external use only – avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or broken skin.
Duration of use:
- Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Redness, itching, or irritation at the site of application.
- Uncommon/Rare: Allergic reactions such as rash, hives, or swelling.
- Very rare: Wheezing or shortness of breath – seek immediate medical attention.
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Stop using and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist.
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or any ingredients.
- Not suitable if you have a history of asthma attacks, urticaria, or rhinitis triggered by NSAIDs.
- Avoid applying to broken, infected, or eczematous skin.
- Speak to a doctor before use if you have kidney, heart, or liver problems.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Not recommended in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
- Use only on medical advice during the first 6 months of pregnancy or if breastfeeding.
Driving/machinery:
- No known effects.
Interactions with Other Medicines
- Low risk when used on the skin, but consult a pharmacist if you are taking other oral NSAIDs, anticoagulants, corticosteroids, or antihypertensives.

- If pain persists beyond 2 weeks.
- If redness, swelling, or irritation worsens.
- If you experience allergic reactions such as rash, breathing difficulty, or swelling of the face.
- If you are taking long-term medication and unsure about interactions.

- Store below 25°C.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
