Description
Who is it Suitable For?
- Adults, the elderly and children aged 2 years and over.
- Children under 12 should be treated by an adult.
- Not suitable for infants under 2 years, or for people with diabetes or poor peripheral circulation.
Ingredients / Active Ingredients
- Salicylic Acid (12.0% w/w) – keratolytic agent that breaks down thickened, infected skin.
- Lactic Acid (4.0% w/w) – softens and helps dissolve the outer layers of skin.
- Inactive ingredients: Flexible collodion, camphor, pyroxylin, ethanol, ethyl acetate.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
Dosage by age group:
- Adults and children aged 2+: Apply once daily to the affected area only.
Administration:
- Soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes.
- Dry thoroughly with your own towel.
- Apply one or two drops of gel directly onto the wart, verruca, corn or callus, avoiding surrounding skin.
- Allow to dry – a protective film forms.
- Each evening, peel or pick off the dried gel patch.
- Once a week, gently rub the area with an emery board or pumice stone before re-application.
Duration of use:
- Continue until the lesion disappears, or for up to 12 weeks.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Mild irritation, redness, or a stinging sensation at the application site.
- Rare: Severe skin irritation, swelling, or allergic reaction.
- Discontinue if excessive irritation occurs.
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to salicylic acid, lactic acid, or excipients.
- Avoid use on face, armpits, breasts, bottom or genital areas.
- Do not use on moles, birthmarks, or unusual skin lesions.
- Not for use in patients with diabetes or poor blood circulation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
Driving and machinery:
- No effect expected.
Interactions with Other Medicines
- No significant systemic interactions.
- Avoid applying other topical treatments on the same area unless advised by a doctor.
When to Consult a Pharmacist or Doctor
- If diagnosis is uncertain.
- If skin looks abnormal or worsens.
- If treated area becomes infected, painful or excessively inflamed.
- If lesions do not improve after 12 weeks of continuous use.
Storage Information
- Store below 25°C.
- Keep tightly closed when not in use.
- Keep away from naked flames – flammable.
- Keep out of reach of children.

Yes, once dried it forms a water-resistant film, reducing infection spread. - Can it be used on more than one verruca?

Yes, lactic acid in Bazuka Gel is not related to lactose intolerance. - Can I use it if I’m intolerant to aspirin?
