Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over who are experiencing nasal congestion due to colds, hayfever (allergic rhinitis), or sinusitis. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
Ingredients / Active Ingredients
- Active substance: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05% w/v – a fast-acting decongestant that helps to shrink swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages.
- Other ingredients include: Sorbitol, aloe vera, citric acid, sodium citrate, benzalkonium chloride (preservative), and purified water. Aloe vera is added to soothe the nasal passages during treatment.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
- Dosage by Age Group:
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1–2 sprays into each nostril, up to 2–3 times daily.
- Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
- How Often to Take It:
Do not exceed 3 applications in 24 hours. - How to Administer:
Shake the bottle gently. Insert the nozzle into one nostril while closing the other, and spray while breathing in gently. Repeat for the other nostril. - Duration of Use:
Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days, as prolonged use may cause rebound congestion.
