Benylin Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy Cough Syrup is an oral liquid used to relieve deep, mucus-filled (chesty) coughs. It contains guaifenesin and levomenthol, providing deep-penetrating relief that helps to loosen and thin phlegm, clear bronchial congestion, and make the cough more productive so you can get on with your day.

This guaifenesin cough syrup is an expectorant cough medicine specifically designed for chesty coughs, with a non-drowsy profile suitable for daytime use.

Active ingredients (per 5 ml):

• Guaifenesin 100 mg – an expectorant that helps loosen and thin mucus (phlegm) in the lungs, making it easier to cough up.

Other ingredients:
Sucrose, liquid glucose, ethanol (alcohol), glycerol, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate (E211), Ponceau 4R (E124), caramel, carbomer, concentrated raspberry essence, natural sweetness enhancer, purified water.

 

How to Use / Dosage Instructions

 

For oral use only.

• Adults and children 12 years and over:
  • Dose: Two 5 ml spoonfuls (10 ml) per dose.
  • How often: Every 4–6 hours, up to 4 times in 24 hours.
  • Maximum: Do not take more than 4 doses (40 ml) in 24 hours.
• Children under 12 years:
  • Do not use.

Measure doses accurately using a medicine spoon or oral syringe. Do not exceed the stated dose.

 

Duration of Use

• Use for the short-term relief of chesty coughs.
• If symptoms worsen or do not improve after a few days, or if the cough has already lasted for several weeks, seek medical advice.

 

Possible Side Effects
