Description
What are Sudafed Congestion & Headache Relief Day & Night Capsules?
Sudafed Congestion & Headache Relief Day & Night Capsules are a day and night cold and flu capsules option for targeted symptom relief when you feel congested, headachy, and wiped out. They’re designed to reduce nasal swelling (so you can breathe more easily) and ease pain and fever, and then keep things going with a daytime formula that includes caffeine to help with fatigue.
This product is commonly searched as head cold relief capsules because it targets the “heavy head” feeling alongside congestion and headache.

Warnings and precautions

- Overdose risk: taking too much paracetamol can cause delayed, serious liver damage. Get urgent medical help even if you feel okay.
- Ask for advice before use if you have liver or kidney problems, especially because severe renal impairment is a contraindication.
- Avoid excessive caffeine intake (coffee, tea, energy drinks) while taking this, because the Day capsules already contain caffeine.
- This medicine is essentially “sodium-free” (less than 23 mg sodium per capsule).

FAQs
Can I take this with my usual cold and flu drink/sachets?
Not if they contain paracetamol (many do). Doubling up is how people end up in A&E pretending they “didn’t realise”.
What’s the difference between the Day and Night capsules?
The Day capsules include caffeine to help with tiredness and can enhance pain relief. The Night capsules do not include caffeine.
Can I take the Night capsules during the day?
You should follow the pack directions: Day capsules in the day, Night capsules at bedtime if needed.
What if I miss a dose?
Take the next dose when needed, keeping at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take a double dose.
Does this help with sinus pressure and a heavy head?
Yes, it’s commonly used for blocked nose and sinus pressure relief, alongside headache and cold/flu aches.
