Who is it Suitable For?

  • Adults and children aged 1 year and over.
  • May be used in older adults, including those with recurrent diarrhoea.
  • Suitable for people experiencing acute or chronic diarrhoea, including functional and infectious causes.

 

Ingredients / Active Ingredients

  • Polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate (70 g per 100 g) – active substance that works as an intestinal adsorbent.
  • Purified water (30 g per 100 g) – inactive excipient.

 

How to Use / Dosage Instructions

Dosage by age group:

  • Adults and children ≥15 years: 15 g (approximately 1 tablespoon) three times daily.
  • Children 7–14 years: 10 g (approximately 2 teaspoons) three times daily.
  • Children 1–6 years: 5 g (approximately 1 teaspoon) three times daily.

How often to take it:

  • Every 6–8 hours, spaced evenly throughout the day.

How to administer:

  • Enterosgel is an oral paste. It should be mixed with water before swallowing.
  • Take 1–2 hours before or after meals and medicines.

Duration of use:

  • For acute diarrhoea: up to 3–5 days.
  • For chronic or long-term gastrointestinal conditions: under medical supervision.

 

Possible Side Effects

  • Common: Constipation, nausea.
  • Rare: Mild allergic reactions, difficulty swallowing thick paste.
    If side effects persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

 

Warnings and Precautions

  • Do not use if allergic to polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate.
  • Avoid use if you have intestinal atony (severely reduced gut motility).
  • Do not exceed recommended dose.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Driving or operating machinery:
Enterosgel has no known effect on driving or using machines.
