Hycosan Shield Eye Drops are suitable for adults and children over 18 years old who experience symptoms of dry eye, such as grittiness, burning, or a foreign body sensation. It is especially beneficial for individuals with evaporative dry eye caused by Meibomian gland dysfunction or lipid layer instability.

How to Use / Dosage Instructions

Dosage by Age Group:

• Adults and children over 18 years: 1 drop in each affected eye, 1–2 times daily, or as needed.

How to Administer:

1. Wash your hands before use.
2. Remove the cap and tamper-proof ring.
3. Hold the bottle upright and gently squeeze to prepare.
4. Turn the bottle upside down and release to draw air through the liquid.
5. Tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid and look up.
6. Hold the bottle vertically and squeeze once to release a drop into the eye.
7. Repeat for the other eye if needed.
8. Can be used for up to 6 months after opening.

Duration of Use:

Use the Push, Turn and Release method. Remove the cap from the bottle, upon first use remove the tamper-evident ring and dispose of it. Hold the eye drop upright and squeeze it lightly. Prior to placing the eye drop bottle above the eye, keep it squeezed, turn it upside down and immediately release the pressure thereby drawing air into the bottle. Keep holding the bottle upside down and gently pull down your lower eyelid and place the dropper tip above the eye. Lightly squeeze the bottle to release only one drop into each eye. Replace cap on eye drop bottle.
