Melolin Non-Adhesive Dressing Pads

Melolin is made up of two layers:

• Absorbent Layer: Cotton/Polyester blend
• Outer Layer: Perforated polyester film with a low-adherent coating

Application

• For Adults and Children:
  • Cleanse the wound area with a suitable antiseptic solution and dry the surrounding skin.
  • Select an appropriately sized Melolin Dressing Pad.
  • Place the pad over the wound with the shiny, low-adherent side facing the skin.
  • Secure the pad with medical tape, a bandage, or a dressing retention sheet.
  • Change the dressing as required, usually daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.

• For Infants and Young Children:
  • Use with caution under the guidance of a healthcare professional to ensure appropriate wound care.

Melolin Dressing Pads are generally well tolerated. However, in rare cases, users may experience:

• Skin irritation or allergic reactions at the application site.
• Increased redness, swelling, or pain around the wound, which could indicate an infection. If these symptoms occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice immediately.

Warnings

• Do not use on wounds with heavy exudate (drainage) without consulting a healthcare professional.
• If the wound does not show signs of improvement or appears to be worsening, seek medical advice.
• Ensure the dressing is appropriately sized to cover the entire wound, preventing exposure to external contaminants.
• Do not reuse Melolin Dressing Pads. Single use only.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Melolin Dressing Pads are unlikely to interact with medications. However, avoid using ointments or creams underneath the dressing unless recommended by a healthcare professional, as this may reduce the effectiveness of the pad’s absorbent properties.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• Ensure the packaging is intact before use. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
