Nurofen Medicated Plasters are suitable for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over who are experiencing localised pain related to muscular strain, backache, or sports injuries. It is ideal for those looking for non-oral, anti-inflammatory relief applied directly to the skin.
Ingredients / Active Ingredients
- Ibuprofen 200mg per plaster – a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation at the site of application.
- Other ingredients include: styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, liquid paraffin, and other adhesive and backing materials designed for transdermal delivery.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
Dosage by age group:
- Adults and adolescents aged 16 and over: One plaster to be applied to the painful area once daily.
How often to use:
- Apply one plaster every 24 hours. Do not use more than one plaster per day.
How to administer:
- Clean and dry the affected area before application.
- Remove the protective film and apply the sticky side of the plaster directly to the skin over the painful area.
- Press down firmly to ensure adhesion.
- The plaster should be worn for up to 24 hours, after which it should be removed and replaced if needed.
Duration of use:
- Use for a maximum of 5 consecutive days. If pain persists beyond this period, consult a healthcare professional.
