Solpadeine Max Soluble Tablets provide powerful relief from acute moderate pain unrelieved by other painkillers. With codeine, paracetamol, and caffeine, they dissolve in water for fast-acting relief.

Description
Who is it Suitable For?
For adults and children aged 12 years and over who require short-term relief from acute moderate pain such as headaches, migraines, dental pain, period pain, rheumatic pain, backache, and sciatica, especially when other painkillers have not been effective.
Ingredients / Active Ingredients
- Paracetamol 500mg – relieves pain and reduces fever.
- Codeine phosphate hemihydrate 12.8mg – an opioid analgesic for stronger pain relief.
- Caffeine 30mg – enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol.
Other ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, sorbitol, saccharin sodium, and other excipients for solubility.
How to Use / Dosage Instructions
Dosage by age group:
- Adults and children 16+: 2 tablets dissolved in at least half a tumbler of water every 4–6 hours as required.
- Children 12–15 years: 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as required.
How often to take it:
- Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours for adults or 4 tablets in 24 hours for children 12–15 years.
How to administer:
- Dissolve the tablet(s) fully in water and drink immediately.
- Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Duration of use:
- Do not take for more than 3 days. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Possible Side Effects
Common:
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness.
Rare:
- Skin rash, itching, allergic reactions (including swelling of the face or throat), difficulty breathing, liver problems.
Seek urgent medical attention if you experience difficulty breathing, facial swelling, severe rash, or yellowing of the skin/eyes.
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not take if allergic to paracetamol, codeine, caffeine, or any ingredients in the product.
- Not suitable for children under 12 years.
- Do not take with other paracetamol-containing products.
- Avoid if you have breathing difficulties, severe liver or kidney problems, or a head injury.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Avoid during pregnancy unless advised by a doctor. Do not take while breastfeeding as codeine passes into breast milk and may harm your baby.
Driving and machinery:
- May cause drowsiness or dizziness; if affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
Interactions with Other Medicines
- Avoid with other paracetamol or opioid medicines.
- May interact with antidepressants, sedatives, or medicines affecting the liver.
- Check with your pharmacist before use if taking any regular medication.
When to Consult a Pharmacist or Doctor
- If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3 days.
- If you develop breathing difficulties, confusion, persistent vomiting, or signs of overdose.
- If you suspect dependency or misuse.
