UrgoTul Absorb Border Dressing

Description

Indications:

UrgoTul Absorb Border is indicated for low to moderately exuding wounds, including:

• Acute wounds: Minor burns, dermabrasions, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, post-operative incisions
• Chronic wounds: Pressure sores, arterial leg ulcers, venous leg ulcers, ulcers of mixed origin

Ingredients/Composition in UrgoTul Absorb Border Dressing:

• Lipido-Colloid Technology (TLC) wound contact layer
• Soft absorbent polyurethane foam pad
• Silicone adhesive border
• Non-woven polyurethane backing film

How to Use:

• Suitable for adults and children under healthcare supervision.
• Apply to a clean, dry wound.
• Do not cut the absorbent foam pad.
• The silicone border may be trimmed to fit the wound area.
• Can be worn for several days depending on wound condition and exudate levels.
• If using ointments, creams or emulsions, allow skin to dry before applying the dressing.

Warnings & Precautions:

• For single use only. Re-use may result in infection or compromised healing.
• Sterile unless packaging is damaged.
• Do not use if signs of infection are present – switch to an antibacterial dressing (e.g., UrgoClean Ag) as per local protocol.
• Hair around the wound should be trimmed close to the skin to ensure good adhesion.
• Not suitable for highly exuding or infected wounds unless otherwise directed.

Possible Side Effects:

• Skin irritation or sensitivity around the adhesive area
• Allergic reaction to dressing materials (rare)
• Consult a healthcare professional if irritation persists

Interactions:

• No known interactions.
• Ensure any topical preparations are absorbed or wiped away before application.
